Label printing
STAEDEAN provides a framework within Solution Center for label printing. Using the framework, you can send standard labels and tags directly from Microsoft Dynamics BC to a label printer. This framework currently supports the following label printing software.
Using the Automation Interface:
- Bartender label printing solution by Seagull Scientific (Version 10.1 Enterprise Automation)
- Label printing solution by Loftware (Version 10.2 and 11.0)
Using the drop-file functionality:
- Bartender label printing solution by Seagull Scientific (Version 10.1 and 2016 R7, Automation or Enterprise Automation Edition)
- Label printing solution by Loftware (Version 10.2 and 11.0)
The installation procedure for any label printing software is outside the scope of Solution Center. Refer to the respective website, help manuals, or documentation.
Automation Interface setup
Typically, a button on a NAV page invokes a label printing action. The Solution Center's Label Printing Setup directs any label activity to the active label software. The linked connection uses the current data and maps it according to the label requirements. The label activity in the connection exchanges the data with the TI Label Printing Service. The service instructs the label software (Loftware, Bartender) to print the label.
Drop-file setup
Similar to the Automation Interface, a button on a NAV page invokes a label printing action. The Solution Center's Label Printing Setup directs any label activity to the active label software. The linked connection uses the current data and maps it according to the label requirements. The label activity in the connection exports the file to the shared file folder. The label software (Loftware, Bartender) monitors this folder and processes the file to print the label.
