Configure Genesis Integration Processes
To properly manage your Genesis integration processes, you need to configure the records that define the company's Genesis integration activities.
First, you must define the general setup, such as the directories in which various files and the ESHAPort application are stored and the format in which data is transferred from Dynamics NAV. This general setup is typically performed once during the initial implementation.
You must also identify the production BOMs that will be exported from Dynamics NAV to Genesis.
If desired, you may enter nutrient values for item records in Dynamics NAV. This information can be included when the corresponding items are transferred to Genesis. You do not have to record nutritional information in NAV, as it may be preferable to enter and maintain this data directly in Genesis.
The following table describes a sequence of tasks, with links to the topics that describe them. These tasks are listed in the order in which they are generally performed.
