How to: Set Up Genesis Integration

To effectively integrate Dynamics NAV to a Genesis R&D database, you must specify some parameters for the way in which the ESHAPort files used to transfer data interact with Dynamics NAV. You must do this before Dynamics NAV can export data from the program.

Both the ESHAPort files and the ESHAPort application must be stored in network locations that can be accessed by Dynamics NAV.

To set up Genesis integration

1. In the Search box, enter Genesis Integration, and then choose the related link.
2. In the Data File Directory field, enter the directory in which the data files that are exported from Dynamics NAV are stored.
3. In the EPF Directory field, enter the directory in which the ESHAPort files used to export data from Dynamics NAV are stored.
4. In the ESHAPort Application Path field, enter the directory in which the ESHAPort application has been installed.
5. Fill in the fields on the other FastTabs if any data file format or name properties have been changed from the default settings.
