How to: Assign Genesis Recipes

You can not transfer a BOM and its components to Genesis R&D unless it has been designated as a Genesis recipe or is associated with an item which is itself a component in a BOM that is a Genesis recipe.

The following steps describe how to assign Genesis recipe information to a formula. The same procedure can be followed for item processes and package BOMs, but for simplicity only a formula is described in detail.

To assign Genesis recipes

1. In the Search box, enter Formulas, and then choose the related link.
2. Open the relevant formula card.
3. On the Genesis FastTab, select the Genesis Recipe field.
4. Fill in the other fields on the FastTab.

You can define either the number of servings per recipe or the weight of a single serving, but not both. You select the property you wish to enter in the Serving Size Specification field.
