Warehouse Management

Dynamics NAV's standard warehousing functionality allows a company to maintain an organized inventory within company locations. Bins (and in some instances, zones) that represent physical storage areas are defined for a location, and warehouse activities such as put-aways and picks are used to facilitate the movement of items from one bin to another. These warehouse activities provide a greater level of inventory control during the execution of standard business processes such as receiving, shipping, and production. The exact level of warehouse control can vary depending on a company's particular needs.

The warehouse management features that are available in Food Manufacturing & Distribution allow for even greater warehousing capabilities. In some instances, existing NAV functionality has been enhanced to provide for more streamlined warehouse processes. Other features are completely unique to Food Manufacturing & Distribution.
