Report Production

As production personnel go through their processes to make and package the goods required for a production order, they report any additions, deletions, or other changes that have been made to the original order. When finished, these changes can be entered into the program.

It may be that certain procedures must be performed on components before they are ready to be used in production. In such a scenario, the necessary pre-process activities are generated. These activities should be completed and registered before the user moves on to further production reporting.

The Batch Reporting screen lets the manufacturer simultaneously report production data for a batch order and any related package orders.  If an excess quantity of the intermediate item is produced, it can be sent to inventory. This process can also close the production order and update the unit cost. Lot information for consumed materials and produced finished goods may be captured, as well.

The Process Reporting screen allows the user to create process orders for raw materials that are being processed into intermediate items and then stored in the inventory. Similar to the Batch Reporting screen, the Process Reporting screen allows the user to capture lot information for consumed materials and the produced intermediate items.

The following table describes a sequence of tasks, with links to the topics that describe them. These tasks are listed in the order in which they are generally performed.
