How to: Set Up Lot No. Custom Formats

A custom lot number format is comprised of segments. When a lot number is generated from a custom format, its values and appearance are determined from the format's assigned segments.

To set up a lot no. custom format

1. In the Search box, enter Lot No. Custom Formats, and then choose the related link.
2. On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New. The Lot No. Custom Format window appears.
3. In the General FastTab, enter a code and description.
4. In the Segments FastTab, enter the segments you want to include in the custom lot number format.
