Establish Standing Sales Orders
Depending on the items a company sells and the manner in which it distributes these items, it may be that customers who purchase the same products on a regular basis wish to standardize this sales activity as a recurring event. For example, a customer might instruct the company to deliver the same items once a week.
Fixed sales activities can be defined in Dynamics NAV as standing orders. A standing order serves as a template from which sales orders are generated. If you have set up delivery routes to represent the standard itineraries your delivery trucks travel to distribute and pick up goods, it is possible to link these routes to your standing order. This gives you the ability to generate sales orders according to scheduled delivery activities.
The following table describes a sequence of tasks, with links to the topics that describe them. These tasks are listed in the order in which they are generally performed.
