How to: Manually Generate a Sales Order from a Standing Order

You can use a standing order to generate a sales order. The information on the standing order's header and lines is copied to the corresponding fields on the new sales order.

You must have already set up a standing order.

If a standing order has been assigned to a delivery route, you can not use it to manually generate sales orders.

To manually generate a sales order from a standing order

1. In the Search box, enter Standing Sales Orders, and then choose the related link.
2. Open the relevant standing sales order.
3. On the General FastTab, in the Next Order Date field, enter the order date you want to assign to the new sales order.
4. On the Actions tab, in the General group, choose Make Order, and then choose the Yes button.

A message appears informing you that a new sales order has been created. You can see the new sales order in the sales order list. Note that the standing order has not been deleted.
