How to: Assign containers to Item-, Bin- and Warehouse journals
When dealing with containers in the warehouse, the accompanying journals also support the use of containers. In this way it is possible to move entire containers and their content, move loose items to a container in another location / Bin etc.
The following journals support the use of containers:
- Item Journals
On the journal line it is possible to select a container number for the specified action. This means that a line of the type purchase or positive adjustment in combination with a container number means that the items are being registered on the specified container. Lines with the type Sale or Negative adjustment in combination with a container number mean a decrease of the quantity of the item on the specified container.
On the navigate tab, in the Line group, it is possible to choose New Container. This leads to the creation of a new container in the warehouse. The container ID will be automatically filled on the line.
- Item Reclass. Journals
In this journal it is possible to move an entire container from one location to another:
- In the search box, enter Item Reclass. Journals and then choose the related link.
- Enter the appropriate data on Item No., Location code and Container License Plate.
