How to: Assign containers in Inventory Journals

When using the inventory journals (both the Whse. Phys. Invt. Journal and the Phys. Inventory Journal) it is possible to enter information on the containers. When calculating the inventory, the system will show the container information for the line. This means that items that are both loose and containerized will show on different lines, where each container will be shown as one line.

When the inventory is no longer on the container, the value in field Container License Plate cannot be deleted. In this case a new line must be created for the same Item No. and on the Navigate Tab, in the Line Group, the option New Container must be used to create a new container for the new line.

Likewise when items are containerized and not loose, the same way of working needs to be applied to enter the correct data into the system.
