Process Containers
Once the necessary container tracking records and values are configured, you are ready to create and work with containers.
Container records are created according to the container assignment rules that have been defined for container items. Depending on these rules, a container record is comprised of a container item and one or more assigned inventory items.
When a container record is assigned to a transaction, information about the container's contents is added to the associated transaction lines. In addition, a new transaction line is created for the container item itself. Depending on the type of transaction and the manner in which a container item has been set up, a container may or may not remain in inventory once the transaction is posted.
