Using emojis as button captions

You can use emojis as captions in buttons and static labels to display a graphical representation instead of text. See Buttons for information on creating buttons.

These scenarios illustrate how to use emojis as captions:

  • Scenario 1: Display a graphical representation for an approval (instead of regular text such as "Approve" and "Reject").
  • Scenario 2: Display a graphical representation to capture employee reactions.
  • Scenario 3: Display a graphical representation to capture a rating.

Scenario 1

Display a graphical representation for approval instead of the regular text "Approve" and "Reject".

  1. Create the controls for the activity where you display the approval and reject actions.

  2. In this activity, display only buttons with emojis, both ordinary buttons and buttons in the bar.

  3. Set up ordinary buttons with styling. The first two buttons are ordinary buttons with styling to increase their size.
