How to: Enter and Post Bin Movements

When you create a movement between bins, and the warehouse location where the items are stored is not set up to use put-aways or picks, you use the bin reclassification journal to post warehouse activities.

To enter and post bin movements

1. In the Search box, enter Bin Reclass. Journal, and then choose the related link.
2. Fill in the fields on the first line.

If the item has a default bin assigned, the program will automatically fill in the Bin Code and New Bin Code fields with the item's default bin when you enter the location code on the line. You can change the bins in these fields, if necessary.

3. Repeat this procedure for each bin reclassification journal line you want to post.
4. After filling in the fields, post the journal.
