How to convert warehouse units of measure

If an item can be defined in more than one unit of measure, you can instruct the program to convert a quantity of that item into a unit of measure other than the unit in which it entered the warehouse. This is useful when you need to use a different unit of measure when assigning an item to a warehouse activity.

Steps

1. In the search box, enter Bin Status, and then choose the related link.

2. Select a bin content line for an item defined in several units of measure.

3. On the Actions tab, in the General group, choose Units. The Convert Warehouse Units page appears.

4. Select the line with the unit of measure you want to convert.

5. In the Quantity field, enter the quantity of the item's current unit of measure you want to convert.

6. In the New Unit of Measure Code field, select the unit to which you want to convert the item.

   The anticipated quantity of the item in the new unit of measure is displayed in the New Quantity field.

7. On the Actions tab, in the General group, choose Register.
