How to: Assign Items to Replenishment Areas

After you have set up your replenishment areas, you can assign items to them. When a production order is created for an item, the item's defined replenishment area is automatically assigned to the production order.

To assign items to replenishment areas

1. In the Search box, enter Locations, and then choose the related link.
2. Select the location for which you want to assign items to replenishment areas.
3. On the Navigate tab, in the Location group, choose Item Replenishment Areas.
4. In the Item Replenishment Areas window, fill in the fields.
5. Repeat the procedure for each item you want to assign to a replenishment area.

You can not assign an item to multiple replenishment areas within the same location.
