How to: Assign Items to Fixed Production Bins

After you have set up your bins, you can designate fixed production bins by assigning items to them. During production reporting, an item with a fixed production bin is consumed directly from that bin, rather than a replenishment area's defined inbound bin.

To assign items to fixed production bins

1. In the Search box, enter Locations, and then choose the related link.
2. Select the location where you want to assign items to fixed production bins. On the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.
3. On the Navigate tab, in the Location group, choose Item Fixed Production Bins.
4. In the Item Fixed Production Bins window, fill in the fields.
5. Repeat the procedure for each item you want to assign to a fixed production bin.

You can not assign an item to multiple fixed production bins within the same location.
