Setting up Transport Cost Component Templates
The definition of which components are part of a calculation and the percentage to use are defined in the Transport Cost Component Template. The component templates are added to the transport order costs as individual costs. The cost component templates is typically used in a situation where an additional charge based on a cost component amount has to be calculated as a percentage of that charge. An example of a cost component template is a fuel-charge of x %.
To set up a Transport Order Cost Component Template
- In the Search box, enter Transport Cost and then select the Warehouse/Transport and Deliveries/Setup/ link.
- Select Transport Cost Component Templates to open the window.
- Click New to create a new template, or Edit to update an existing template.
- Enter the values for the Code and Description fields. Typically, you must provide values for the following fields.

| G/L Account | Specify the G/L account used in the process of creating a purchase invoice line. |
| Percentage | Enter the percentage to be used to calculate the Transport Order Cost Line Amount. |
| Status | Specify the status of the template. Note that only certified component templates can be used. |
