How To: Setup Header Mapper Activity

The Header Mapper activity is used to map a source document to the headers of an end point, such as SMTP or Outlook.

To be able to set up the Header Mapper activity, you must add an element which has headers defined to export data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This activity can be configured in combination the following elements.

  • SMTP Writer/Mail Writer
  • Outlook Writer
  • Webservice Endpoint

More elements may be added or modified to support dynamic setup values in combination with the Header Mapper

Setup

  1. Create a Notification and insert the element HEADERMAPPER.
  2. On the elements line, click Edit.
  3. Select an endpoint for which you want to configure the headers. > Depending on the selected endpoint, you must specify the fields in the Header Configuration fast tab fields.
  4. Select the document you want to map on the endpoint headers.You can use the assist edit to define the mapping correctly.
  5. For each header fields you can specify an expression for mapping. You can use the assist edit to define the mapping correctly.
  6. Click Check Configuration to see if there are any configuration errors.
  7. Click Ok.
