How to: Fill In Recurring Accrual Journals

If you post certain accruals frequently with few or no changes, it is an advantage to use recurring accrual journals. A recurring accrual journal is an accrual journal with special fields for managing recurring transactions.

To fill in recurring accrual journals

1. In the Search box, enter Recurring Journals, and then choose the related link.
2. In the Recurring Accrual Journal window, fill in the fields.
3. Post the journal.

You will notice the dates are different from the dates you entered. The changes are made according to the formula in the Recurring Frequency field. On lines where the Recurring Method field contains Fixed, the amount is unchanged. On lines where the Recurring Method field contains Variable, the amount has been deleted.
