How to: Record Quality Control Test Results

As quality control procedures are completed, it is necessary to record the results of testing, along with the final status of a quality control activity. These results are maintained as historical quality control information for an item lot. They can also be printed on reports such as certificates of analysis.

To record quality test results

  1. In the Search box, enter Open Quality Control Activities, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the relevant quality control activity.
  3. Record quality control results on the test lines.

The entry in the Status field for each quality control test is updated automatically by the program when a test result is entered. You can manually override this setting, if necessary.

Once test results have been recorded, you must complete the quality control activity.

  1. On the Actions tab, in the Test group, choose Complete.
  2. In the Complete Quality Control window, fill in the fields.
  3. Choose the Yes button to confirm your entries. The quality control activity is completed.
