How to: Create Multiple Quality Activities

When a large quantity of a single lot is received or produced, it is customary to take samples. An example would be to take one sample from the beginning of the lot, one from the middle and one from the end of the lot. So, we need to be able to create multiple quality control activities for a lot. We will not implement rules to determine by item and lot how many activities to create; instead we will rely on the user to manually create multiple activities.

Additional activities can be created by using the “Add” action from:

  1. Open Q/C Activity List
  2. Completed Q/C Activity List
  3. Quality Control

The Q/C activity that is selected when the “Add” action is initiated will determine the type (original or re-test) of activities to be added.

The "Quality Control Results Entry" page is used to enter Q/C results and to display the results for completed activities has been modified to also include an “Add” action.

The type of activities to be added is determined by the type and status of the activity currently displayed.

The "Lot Quality Test Results" page is used when adding additional activities for a lot.

It was originally created with the addition of re-test activities in mind.

Fields show the number of Q/C activities that currently exist for a lot. This is displayed on several list pages that show lots and Q/C activities:

  1. Open Q/C Activity List
  2. Completed Q/C Activity List
  3. Lots

The "Lot Quality Test Results" page is used when adding additional activities for a lot.

It allows entry of the number of copies to be made.

This defaults to 1 and must be an integer greater than or equal to 1.
