How to: Modify a Production Order

The Daily Production Planning and Daily Prod. Planning-Equipment windows can be used to modify production orders. These can be either existing production orders or pending production orders that have just been added but need to be adjusted.

The following steps describe how to modify production orders based on item availability. The same procedure can be followed for equipment capacity, but for simplicity only item availability is described in detail.

To modify a production order

1. In the Search box, enter Daily Production Planning, and then choose the related link.
2. Select the line displaying the item with the production order you want to modify.
3. On the Daily Prod. Planning FastTab, select the line displaying the production order you want to modify, choose Change Order. The Daily Prod. Planning-Order window appears.
4. Make the necessary changes in the fields.
5. Choose the OK button.

The anticipated impact of the pending order changes to scheduled production activities, item availability, and equipment capacity is displayed in red.
