How to: Commit Production Order Changes

Production order changes that are made in the Daily Production Planning and Daily Prod. Planning-Equipment windows are not instantly recorded in the program. The anticipated impact of the pending order changes to scheduled production activities, item availability, and equipment capacity is displayed in red. Committing these changes will enter them into the program.

The following steps describe how to commit changes from the Daily Production Planning window. The same procedure can be performed from the Daily Prod. Planning-Equipment window, but for simplicity only the Daily Production Planning window is described in detail.

To commit production order changes

1. In the Search box, enter Daily Production Planning, and then choose the related link.
2. Select the line displaying the item with the production order you want to modify.
3. Follow the procedure for how to modify production orders.

The anticipated impact of the pending order changes to scheduled production activities, item availability, and equipment capacity is displayed in red.

4. On the Actions tab, in the General group, choose Commit Changes.
5. Choose the Yes button.

The production order changes are entered into the program. The anticipated changes to scheduled production activities, item availability, and equipment capacity that were displayed in red are now shown in black.
