How to: Fill In and Post Labor Journals
You can post the labor your company's maintenance personnel performed for a work order in a labor journal. Entries posted in a labor journal have no effect on the general ledger.
To fill in and post a labor journal
- In the Search box, enter Labor Journal, and then choose the related link.
- In the Work Order No. field, on the first line, enter the work order for which you are entering labor.
- Fill in the journal lines with the relevant information.
- Repeat this procedure for each labor journal line you want to post.
- After filling in the fields, post the journal. On the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Post.
