How to set up a preventive maintenance order

You can set up one or more preventive maintenance orders for an asset. Set up these orders for maintenance activities that occur on a recurring basis. You can instruct the program to create work orders based on a preventive maintenance order's settings.

Steps

1. In the search box, enter Preventive Maintenance Orders, and then choose the related link.
2. Create a new preventive maintenance order.
3. In the Asset No. field, enter the asset for which you want to set up a preventive maintenance order.
4. Fill in the other fields on the General FastTab.
5. In the Work Requested area, enter instructions for the order. You can enter as much text as you want.
6. Enter expected maintenance costs on the other FastTabs.
