How to convert items to lot control

You can convert a non-lot-controlled item to lot control by assigning a single lot number to that item's existing ledger entries. Once this initial lot number is assigned, future ledger entries can be given specific lot numbers.

Notes: A database key group must be enabled before items can be converted to lot control. Perform this step in the development environment.

Steps

  1. In the search box, enter Convert to Lot Controlled, and then choose the related link.
  2. In the No. field on the first line, select a non-lot-controlled item number.
  3. Fill in the other fields on the line.
  4. Repeat this procedure for each item you want to convert to lot control.
  5. On the Actions tab, in the General group, choose Convert to convert the entered items.
