Transport and Deliveries: transport orders
Transport orders combine one or more containers. They can be inbound or outbound. Use specific rules and permissions to create transport orders per location, providing flexibility for organizations with different shipping rules for different locations.
A transport order has the following sections:
- Transport Order Header: contains all generic information for the transport order.
- Transport Order Lines: contains the order information per package type.
For Inbound:
- Inventory Put-away
- Warehouse Put-away
For Outbound:
- Inventory Pick
- Warehouse Pick
The following additional features are available in Transport Order Management:
- Transport Cost: transfers the costs added to the transport order to the standard Microsoft Dynamics NAV purchase invoice.
- Online Map: displays the transport order addresses on an online map. You can choose to show:
- Pick-up address.
- Delivery address.
- Route from pick-up address to delivery address.
