Manufacturing Integration - Transfer WIP to Project

In order to capture all costing details in the Project, IEM Manufacturing Integration makes it possible to transfer the WIP from a, finished, production order to a Project. In this way the production department is fully integrated in the project organization. If WIP is not transferred the production department is considered as an "internal supplier", responsible for their own results.

You must switch this function on in the Manufacturing Setup: Transfer WIP from Production to Project.
All consumption and output entries from the production order will be copied to projectledger entries. For this purpose additional projectledger entry types have been created: "Machine Center" and "Work Center".
The transfer will take place when the status of the production order is set to Finished.

Notes:
There will be no projectledger entry for the finished product since all detail entries are already in the project. When the projectplanning line for the finished product is posted only an item ledger entry of the type "Negative Adjustment" will be created.
When the setting "Transfer WIP from Production to Project" is off posting the projectplanning line for the finished product will create a projectledger entry as well as an item ledger entry.
