How to create a customer from a terminal market order
In a terminal market environment, the initial contact with a new customer often occurs at the time of the first sale. While you can set up a single customer record in Microsoft Dynamics NAV to which all sales are posted, a company may want to record these transactions against specific customer records. Using data templates, you can quickly create a new customer record directly from a terminal market sales order.
Steps
In the search box, enter Terminal Market Sales Orders, and then choose the related link.
On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New.
Fill in the No. field.
On the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose New Customer. The Create New Customer page appears.
In the Template field, select the data template to use as the basis for the new customer record.
In the Name field, enter the customer's name.
Choose Next.
The fields on this page are filled in with any default template values.
Fill in or edit the fields on this page.
Choose Finish.
The new customer record is assigned to the terminal market sales order.
