How to: Assign Default Delivery Routes to Transfer Routes

You can assign a default delivery route to a transfer route. When a transfer order is created for a particular transfer-from and transfer-to location, the default delivery route that has been defined for that combination of locations will be automatically assigned if the document has a shipment date for which the delivery route has been enabled. You must have already set up the relevant delivery routes.

Before you assign default delivery routes to transfer routes, you must first activate delivery trips for each location that will have a delivery route.

To assign default delivery routes to transfer routes

  1. In the Search box, enter Transfer Routes, and then choose the related link.
  2. In the Transfer Routes window, on the Options FastTab, specify which codes to show in the Transfer Routes Matrix window.
  3. On the Actions tab, in the General group, choose Show Matrix. The Transfer Routes Matrix window opens.

The matrix is divided into two parts: the transfer-from locations (on the left side) and the transfer to-locations (on the right side). The contents of the matrix are based on the selected transfer route specification.

  1. Choose a cell in the matrix that represents a combination of the transfer-to and transfer-from locations that will have a delivery route. The Trans. Route Spec. window appears.
  2. In the Default Delivery Route No. field, select the desired delivery route.
