How to: Assign Delivery Routes to Specific Days

You can assign a delivery route to specific days of the week for a particular shipping destination. Whenever an outbound document is created with a shipment date that corresponds to the proper weekday, the delivery route will be automatically assigned to the transaction. You must have already set up the relevant delivery routes.

The following steps can be followed for customers, customer ship-tos, vendors, and vendor order addresses. For simplicity, only a customer is described in detail.

To assign delivery routes to specific days

1. In the Search box, enter Customers, and then choose the related link.
2. Open the relevant Customer card.
3. On the Navigate tab, in the Sales group, choose Delivery Routing Matrix.
4. In the Delivery Routing Matrix window, select the day of the week on which you will assign a delivery route.
5. Choose the Delivery Route No. field to see the Delivery Route List window.

The Delivery Route List window displays any delivery routes that have been enabled for the selected weekday.

6. Select the line with the desired delivery route, and then choose the OK button to copy the code to the window.
7. Repeat the procedure for additional days.
