How to: Set Up Supply Chain Groups

The Supply Chain Group can be used as a filter for items and users. In case a system is set up so multiple users can sell their "own" set of products, such a set of products can be assigned to a Supply Chain group and that group can then be linked to a user.

The supply chain groups that are used with items can be set up as codes, with one or more users assigned to each one. You can then assign a supply chain group to each item category (including the hierarchy below it) or item, and use the assigned codes to set filters for items that share the same supply chain group when a user is planning sales activities.

To set up a supply chain group

  1. In the Search box, enter Supply Chain Groups, and then choose the related link.
  2. On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New.
  3. On the new line, fill in the fields.
