How to manage a pick using Production Containers

When a production pick is created, the system will first look for any Production Containers valid for the current production order.
If such a container is found, the relevant line-information will be transferred to the pick-document (i.e. lot information). For the items found, the Container-ID field on the take- and place line will be filled. If the quantity on the container line is less than the quantity on the pick-line, the take- and place lines will be split into a pair for the quantity on the container and a pair for the remaining quantity.

Also, the pick creation using production containers will check on lot-preferences. If a lot preference check fails for a production container line, the system will throw an error.
For the sake of simplicity, NAV Food does not support lot preference checks on containerlines for multiple component-lines with different lot preferences for the same item. This is not deemed to be a common valid scenario.
