How to: move multiple items from an inbound Container
In case of an inbound container, this container can contain multiple items, prohibiting it from becoming a warehouse container on receipt of the items.
At the time of posting the receipt the container will still be flagged as inbound, but will lose its link to the inbound document.
In actual fact, a container now exists, flagged as inbound, not linked to an inbound document, containing multiple items. This container needs to be dealt with before being able to move the container into the warehouse.
- In the search box, enter containers and then choose the related link.
- From the list, select the inbound container that needs handling.
- On the Container Card, from the container-lines, select the item you want to transfer to a new container.
- On the Container Card, in the Process group, choose Split Container.
- On the Container Card that is now opened, enter the Container Type and press OK.
- Repeat step 3 through 5 until the original inbound container contains only a single item and has become a warehouse container.
The items that were originally on the inbound container are transferred to the new container, including all information on Lot-numbers, catchweight etc. For more information on using and setting up containers, click here
