Releasing a process

A newly created process has the status Open. When a process is fully configured, release it. The framework checks the entire process against several conditions, a released process is a validated process that mobile clients can use. An open process cannot run on the mobile client but can be modified. This ensures no mobile users use the process while its settings change.

Releasing a process also sets the Activity Begin and Activity End fields on the process controls. The first editable textbox marks the beginning of an activity; the last editable textbox marks its end. After the user submits the textbox marked with Activity End, the next activity in the workflow appears. Releasing a process automatically triggers the configuration check.
