Anywhere Mobility Studio Documentation
Create roles
To maintain and provide access to mobile users on BC Anywhere, the framework has its own authentication functionality. This authentication is based on roles, similar to Microsoft Dynamics BC security. To give a mobile user access to a specific process, add the process to a role and assign the role to the user.
To create roles:
Select Departments > BC Anywhere > Administration.
Under User Management, select Roles.
Add roles.

A role can have a login process. Use this to assign a process or menu to a group of users.
After creating the role, you can add users and processes.
Select Users to access the list of users with access to this role. Assign mobile users to an available role. One role can act as a Main Role for a user, in that case the login process of that role is active for this user.

Close the Users page and select Authorisations on the roles page.

Add processes using a lookup in the Process Code field. Depending on the role, add or remove processes as needed. You can also add processes to a role from the Process List or card by selecting Authorisations and then selecting the role via a lookup in the Role No. field.
