About: OUTLOOKWRITER Endpoint

In Business Integration Solutions, the OUTLOOKWRITER endpoint is used to write messages in your default e-mail client.

Usage

Use this endpoint to save your messages in EML (E-Mail Message) format which can be opened in Microsoft Outlook.

Concept

This endpoint is used especially when you want to send Notifications using Microsoft Outlook. This endpoint is especially used with the following activities:

• XML To HTML Translator Activity: Using this activity you can provide messages in HTML or Plain Text format.
• Attachment Generator Activity: Using this activity you can attach standard Microsoft Dynamics NAV reports in PDF, Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel formats.

This endpoint does not require specific settings to be made. Also, it is not necessarily required to have Microsoft Outlook installed, you can also use other email client (such as Windows Mail, Firefox mail etc.)
